Sofia is a young acting student who in love with her teacher, Bruno. But when she discovers that Bruno is gay, she runs off in distress and boards a train home. There she befriends a pregnant woman, who later gives birth in the toilet and abandons the baby. When Sofia finds the child, she decides to keep it and name him Bruno. Five years later, she meets Bruno at the theater, insinuates that the baby is his and submerges the young child into a life filled with lies.
