A trio of swindlers roam the countryside with schemes to bilk poor people out of their money, their most famous of which is disguising themselves as priests. Eventually, they go their own ways, team up again, but one thief in particular can't resist the priest scheme one more time and this time, believed to be the real thing, he is called upon to help a sick girl. Now, he risks blowing his cover.
