This week Sony Pictures Home Entertainment reissues new Blu-ray editions of three recent horror titles -- in "Frighteningly High Definition," says the press release.

I Know What You Did Last Summer, The Exorcism of Emily Rose, and Urban Legend make their Blu-ray debut for the suggested retail price of $28.95 each. "Each Blu-ray Disc comes with special frightening features that include deleted scenes, director commentary, horror shots, music videos, featurettes and more."

What the press release doesn't mention is that each of these discs is equipped with the latest web-enabled interactive technology, BD Live, a Blu-ray development we reported on last week. While watching these movies, you can go online and interact in real-time with other fans who are sharing the experience with you. That's the theory, anyway.

The press information continues below:

I Know What You Did Last Summer

One year later, however, a note shows up saying, "I Know What You Did Last Summer." When a dark figure wielding a large hook begins to stalk them, the foursome quickly learns that some things don't always stay buried. The Exorcism of Emily Rose
Sony Pictures Home Entertainment's Blu-ray 'The Exorcism of Emily Rose'Attorney Erin Bruner (Linney) takes on both church and state when she is assigned to defend a priest (Wilkinson) in court. The prosecution alleges murder, but the priest denies any wrongdoing, claiming the young victim needed spiritual help with her demons and that she died after he performed an exorcism. Through the course of the trial Bruner must piece together the turn of events -- all seemingly logical, but still eerily supernatural -- that led to the death of Emily Rose (Jennifer Carpenter, D.E.B.S., Battle in Seattle). What she discovers will test her belief in science, faith and the battle between good and evil.

The Exorcism of Emily Rose is directed by Scott Derrickson (Love in the Ruins, Hellraiser: Inferno), produced by Beau Flynn (Bubble Boy, Requiem For a Dream), Gary Lucchesi (Aeon Flux, Underworld: Evolution), Tom Rosenberg (Wicker Park, The Covenant), Trip Vincent and Paul Harris Boardman (Love in the Ruins, Hellraiser: Inferno) who also co-wrote the screenplay with Scott Derrickson (Urban Legend: Final Cut, Land of Plenty). The film stars Laura Linney (The Savages, Kinsey), Tom Wilkinson (In the Bedroom, Michael Clayton), Campbell Scott (Roger Dodger, Phoebe in Wonderland) and Jennifer Carpenter (D.E.B.S., Battle in Seattle). The Exorcism of Emily Rose was theatrically released in 2005. The Unrated Version has a run time of 122 minutes.

Urban Legend

After class one day they recount urban legends turned deadly, including the alleged murders of 25 students at their own college by a psychology professor.
