Danielle is a 47 year old Parisian that has been admitted to a private clinic after her third suicide attempt. There she has taken a vow of inviolable silence but is persuaded by a woman psychiatrist to open up. Soon Danielle finds the words to explain the reasons behind her state of unease: an isolated and difficult childhood, a rushed marriage, a non-desired pregnancy, and an erratic mother-daughter relationship.
