35 year-old Owen Rinard - who manages a retirement home - has a serious problem. There's an insurgent in his midst who's trying to buck the regimented system he's worked so hard to implement. The renegade is Gus Corley, a former tax accountant and sports fisherman who's clearly not ready to give into the vicissitudes of old age. When Owen thwarts Gus' attempts at reform, Gus threatens to expose the home's "flawed" accounting system. In exchange for his silence, Gus demands that Owen take him and his two companions, Ducan and Nelly on the road to Victoria, British Columbia. Gus wants to go salmon fishing, Ducan to see a professional fight, and Nelly to the symphony.
