Anton, a mildly retarded man with a remarkable singing voice and a dream of becoming an opera singer, teams up with a wisecracking homeless man and a struggling pianist to entertain spectators in New York’s Washington Square Park. Through a series of misadventures, the trio gains the encouragement of one of the world’s greatest tenors.
