Tom has taken a job with his uncle as an armoured car courier. They currently have $3 million entrusted to their care when they are caught in the rising waters of the Mississippi during a major flood. Jim is a career criminal who hopes to get out of crime by pulling off one last job: stealing the $3 million. His plan goes terribly wrong when Tom refuses to do the easy thing and give up the money. However, both face the sheriff of the small town who has plans of his own for the cash.
