Tyrone learns a lesson in the meaning of fatherly love when his son Harry is carried off into the Canadian Rockies by an enormous grizzly bear after Tyrone captures her two cubs. While Tyrone and a half-Indian tracker by the name of Joshua McTavish Standing Bear try to locate Harry, the boy learns to subsist on grubs and raw fish as he and the huge grizzly develop their own child-parent relationship.
