Gregorio, 22, works in a Lima gas station and dreams of a college education. Juliana, 22, lives in a slum dwelling on the side of a hill with a group of street children and wants to open a music club. While Gregorio is as honest as a Horatio Alger hero, plucky Juliana is a good-hearted thief who will steal wallets of associate with ruffians when there's a need. Gregorio and Juliana come together. But before his ingenuousness can rub off on her, they become embroiled in an exciting melodrama involving guerrillas, bad-ass cops and villanious low-lifes.
