Gerry Humphrys was a British musician who lived in Australia for 15 years (from 1957-72), leaving his mark on Melbourne's music scene, only to disappear after returning to London. Interviews with musicians who worked with Humphrys trace his Australian career, first as a clarinet player and leader of the jazz band the Red Onions, and later as a rhythm and blues performer.
