Eyes to the front, everybody: Class is now in session.
Legendary rapper and movie enthusiast R.A. the Rugged Man invites you into his home — literally — for Film.com’s new biweekly web series, Film School With R.A. the Rugged Man. We’re heading uptown to R.A.’s Harlem apartment every other Thursday for his inimitable take on everything from campy horror to film noir to Blaxploitation cinema and beyond.
In our first episode, the Rugged Man educates us on the secret cinematic origin of Batman (an obscure mystery movie from 1930 called “The Bat Whispers,” if you were wondering) and which film classics involve actual bears trained to fight onscreen.
So put your pencils down, watch the video and prepare to get schooled.
