Rica is head-over-heels for Kengo, her roommate of four years. Her world is shattered when Kengo announces he has met someone else, leaving Rica with a broken heart and a financial bind. Her best friend, who lives in LA, advises her to fight for her man. Suddenly, Kengo's new girlfriend shows up and says she's moving in to help Rica with the rent. Too polite to send her packing, Rica puts up with the newcomer and soon, all three are having meals together.
