American ex-con, Simon, has returned to Iceland to settle a few scores. Talking incessantly into a tape recorder, he muses about fate, his particular problems and his future plans – all of which are set, until he meets the eccentric Dua. She empathizes powerfully with others, often without regard for her own well-being, and reminds the reluctant Simon of his own humanity. When these two disparate forces meet, it sparks a wild odyssey for them both.
