In a drizzly seaside village, a couple bicker in the cramped confines of a tent. Rachel has tracked down Jake, the now-teenage son she gave up for adoption some years before, and is trying to find the courage to approach him. Her husband Mike is trying to get over his addiction to gambling, but getting too bored and frustrated to fight it. In the neighbouring camper van, reunited sisters Dannie and Maya play cards and catch up. While Dannie provides a temptation for gambling Mike, Maya, a busking mime, becomes a fascination for estranged son Jake.
