Two German brothers who have nothing in common overcome mid-life crisis and find peace in themselves and a new perspective on who they are and where they are in life. An unexpected series of events brings brothers Uwe and Gustav together as Gustav prepares himself to go on a retreat to a Zen Buddhist monestary in Japan. Roles are reversed to a certain extent as Gustav buckles under pressure, while the uninitiated Uwe, merely along for the ride, proves surprisingly adapable to the rigors of monestary life.
