About the importance of humor in the face of tragedy illustrated through multiple story lines. Two children, Arman aged five, and and Asy, aged seven, are being smuggled out of Iran by two their cousins. The aim is to get the children to their parents in Austria. Another is about a man who has to flee to Turkey with his wife and child. There he is forced to battle against the bureaucracy in order to prove that he was being persecuted in Iran for his politics. The third is about a friendship between two men, an older supporter of the Iranian opposition and a younger Iraqi-Kurdish English teacher.
