synopsis
Set in 1930's Shanghai, a tale of thwarted love, which centers around a duo, Manzhen and Shijun who have quickly fallen in love. And the first of many obstacles placed in their path is the young man's parents, who intend for Shijun to be married to a wealthy girl from the same city.
