Film.com's FREE movie of the week is "Nosferatu: A Symphony of Horror." This 1922 classic of cinema based on Bram Stoker's "Dracula" (but with names changed) directed by F.W. Murnau and starring Max Schrek in one of films most famous and frightening make-up jobs.
The boarding school of Hellestad in the Sweedish Country side has long been the site of many strange and violent deaths and hauntings. The most notorious of these in the Drowning Ghost, the spirit of a farmer who murdered three boys attending the school a century ago, then drowned himself in the lake. Sara, a student at Hellestad, researches the story behind the Drowning Ghost, only to discover that the three boys were mudered in retaliation for the rape-murder of the farmer's daughter. The family of one of the boys is now the chief benefactor of Hellestad, their patriarch the lover of the headmistress.
