Deniz is 21-years-old. She lives in Berlin and works as a dubbing speaker. She wants to become an actress. Deniz places high demands on her life. She has difficulty finding someone who satisfies her expectations and longing. She isn't happy with her boyfriend, Jan. One summer's morning she must make a decision. After finishing work at the recording studio, where she is involved in the dubbing of Eric Rohmer's "Conte d'ete/ A Summer's Tale", she meets Jan in a cafe. They go for a walk and she breaks up with him. Completely disturbed, Deniz hurries through summertime Berlin. In conversations with various people she encounters that day, she inevitably comes back to the topic of love. She tries to understand her feelings and ideas. After an audition voice test for a role in a film, she encounters Diego in an underground station.
