Diane works for VolfGroup, a hugely powerful conglomerate that is negotiating the acquistion of TokyoAnime, whose revolutionary pornographic 3-D manga is set to annihilate the competition in an extraordinarily lucrative market. Two companies ar battling for exclusive right to Volf's new images on the Web: Magnatronimcs and Demonlover. Magnatronics has recruited Diane to torpedo Demonlover from within and she finds a connection with the latter company and an interactive torture website known as "The Hellfire Club." However, Diane is soon challanged every step of the way by her amoral colleague, an antagonistic and mysterious assistant and an outspoken, pot-smoking American executive.

Some people find this mix of Internet porn and corporate spying easy to hate. But look closely at the hypnotic images presented by French director Olivier Assayas (Irma Vep), and a potent film emerges. Connie Nielsen, as an American exec for a French video company, fends off a deceitful assistant (Chloe Sevigny) and tries to acquire a Japanese 3-D animated porn site. Extras include astute commentary from Assayas and a cool feature with Sonic Youth on the making of the soundtrack.
