Plunged into this world as soon as he steps off a bus is the unnamed protagonist, who largely remains silent throughout the movie. Apart from being Greek, the protagonist has no backstory. In a humorous touch, the only other thing the viewer learns about him is that he has a very large penis. Befriended by a former mortician, he's allowed to share the guy's basement squat, between boning up on Athens' street plan to get a job as a pizza delivery boy. Finding work at a back-street pizzeria run by an overweight gay man, he attracts the attention of co-worker Xanti, a spacey druggie who moonlights as a hooker for a Chinese gangster.
