Film.com's FREE movie of the week is "Love the Hard Way." Oscar-winner Adrien Brody and Charlotte Ayanna star in this drama about a thief who falls for a curious, beautiful young woman. As their intimacy grows, a slick cop (Pam Greer) is closing in.
Set in the conservative northern province of Bihar, a group of women challenge the local business and religious interests. Led by Ketki who marries Vinay, the weak son of a crumbling landlord, the local women stand up against Tirpat & Co, a conglomerate that has exploited the region. However, they come up against opposition led by the priest Abhay who passes a "death sentence" on the women.
