A fiendish serial killer, known as the Trasher, leaves behind buckets of blood, but no bodies. The Trasher is caught and brought to a nearby asylum. The institute's psychiatrist, Dr. Maggie Belham, fails to get through to the man, but they come to a frightening understanding once he escapes and begins hacking a bloody path towards her young daughter. Her only aid comes from Quitz, a janitor who may be a forgotten asylum inmate.
