Film.com's FREE movie of the week is "Love the Hard Way." Oscar-winner Adrien Brody and Charlotte Ayanna star in this drama about a thief who falls for a curious, beautiful young woman. As their intimacy grows, a slick cop (Pam Greer) is closing in.
Laura Cadieux is one of a group of working-class Quebec women who go to the doctor's every week for diet injections. All large sized and of a certain age, their meetings are as much a social space as a medical one, and the drugs don't really do anything. But the women tell jokes, dance to old songs on the radio, and fight among themselves, especially picking on a thinner member of the group who has a crush on one of the only men present.
