A prisoner gets released from the slammer and attempts to go the straight life with his wife, but three escapees, old pals from the pen, arrive at his house to hide out and take him and his wife as hostages and bait. Meanwhile, a hard-nosed detective is on their trail, relentlessly determined to catch them.
