Veronika longs to fly, becausestaying stuck on the ground meansrefusing everything adventuresome,romantic and pleasant thatlife has to offer. But her life isdifferent: Veronika lives with hermother, an alcoholic, and hermother's partner. One day, whenhe is drunk, he chases Veronika tothe roof of a house and falls off,killing himself.
