Film.com's FREE movie of the week is "Love the Hard Way." Oscar-winner Adrien Brody and Charlotte Ayanna star in this drama about a thief who falls for a curious, beautiful young woman. As their intimacy grows, a slick cop (Pam Greer) is closing in.
Jeanne argues with her fiance, runs away to Paris, and by dint of her congenital lying, talks her way into a job. Her employer thinks she's rich, so that when a disguised robber hears of her situation, he changes plans from robbing her employer to kidnapping Jeanne. The kidnapping goes ahead but there are a few small problems: Jeanne's parents have no money at all, and the kidnapper falls in love with his captive.
