A tale about memory manipulation. Paris, 2025. The body of a young female illegal immigrant is found with peculiar scars around her eyes. Police Lieutenant David Hoffman discovers a link between the girl's murder and notorious smuggler Dimitri Nicolov. Already, Hoffman blames Nicolov for the death of his wife. His investigation eventually leads him to a renown plastic surgery clinic, run by Professor Brugen. The clinic's activity goes beyond skin deep, in fact, they also deal with the coveted commodities of memory and identity. Soon, Hoffman's investigation becomes thwarted when he is forced to journey back into his own past.
