In 1963, American soldiers are in Okinawa, waiting to be sent to Vietnam. Takeshi is half-Okinawan, half-Japanese, and deeply resents the American military presence in his home. He is in love with prostitute Michi, and jealous of the American soldiers who use her services. Ryan is one such soldier, who claims he will take Michi back to the USA with him. When he is called to Vietnam he goes crazy and kidnaps Michi's daughter.
