New Orleans doctor Eugene Grimes wakes up one morning to discover a woman named Callilou with a bullet wound and a case containing $2 million on his doorstep. Before long, Eugene finds himself embroiled in Callilou's life and her group of criminal friends. Angry and wanting their share of the bank robbery loot, Callilou's partners, the gang's leader and a corrupt police officer all begin to intrude upon every aspect of Eugene's life.
