Augustin is a bit-part actor who dreams of "making it." His true passion is martial arts films. Though he practices kung-fu moves alone in his bedroom, he knows he'll have to get profesional training to perform on film. Unable to go to China, he does the next best thing, he packs up and moves to Paris' Chinatown and falls in love with a beautiful accupuncturist.
