At 26, Simone Prevost is already rethinking her entire life after surviving a car crash. She quits her job, cancels a scheduled trip to Italy and heads off in search of her closest friend, Philippe, to ask him to have a child with her. Philippe is apprehensive about helping his friend and finally agrees under the condition that the child be conceived in the desert. They leave for the salt desert outside Salt Lake City.
