Michael Faraday is a college professor with a special interest in domestic terrorism, an interest all the more personal as his wife was an FBI agent killed by an extremist militia. At first, he gets on well with new neighbors the Langs, but gradually he begins to suspect that Oliver Lang is not what he seems, and in fact may be connected to terrorism.
