Film.com's FREE movie of the week is "Love the Hard Way." Oscar-winner Adrien Brody and Charlotte Ayanna star in this drama about a thief who falls for a curious, beautiful young woman. As their intimacy grows, a slick cop (Pam Greer) is closing in.
During the Nazi occupation of Poland, a Jewish woman escapes from a train bound for death camp and is taken in by a a peasant landowner. The two engage is a tumultuous love affair which serves ultimately as a metaphor for the conscience of a nation deeply conflicted by its simultaneous sympathy for the Jewish population and the ideological positioning of the Jews as loathed enemy of the Nazi regime.
