Unless you care about voodoo history, the extras on this 1987 supernatural thriller don't add up to much. Director Alan Parker gasbags about how great his actors are. They almost live up: Mickey Rourke, as private eye Harry Angel, gives off a vibe of mangy cool, and his infamous sex scene with Lisa Bonet still sizzles. But the fun and fright come from Robert De Niro's Louis Cypher, who chases Angel's soul from Harlem to New Orleans.
