The relationship between a father and his two sons, Sverre and Erik. The father lives on his own and has a wife with advanced Alzheimer’s disease in a nursing home. He joins a singles club. Sverre and his wife struggle to fill the void that appeared after their son left home, and try out swinging to see if it's for them. Erik is going through a divorce, and moves in with a new woman. Three men who find they have reached slightly beyond their best years, attempt each in their own way to make "the second round" resemble an enjoyable life. None of the men is very talkative, but they communicate more or less through their shared passion for the soccer team Skeid, which they follow through thick and thin.
