Film.com's FREE movie of the week is "Love the Hard Way." Oscar-winner Adrien Brody and Charlotte Ayanna star in this drama about a thief who falls for a curious, beautiful young woman. As their intimacy grows, a slick cop (Pam Greer) is closing in.
Having not spoken to his brother Jarvis in 50 years, World War II veteran Hotis Brown doesn't expect the phone call from Jarvis' wife Emmeline. Jarvis has had a major stroke and Hotis needs to see him right away. Having no driver's license, and refusing to accept a lift from Sheriff Bernie, Hotis sets off on a 100 mile trek aboard a lawnmower to see his brother. Along the way, Hotis learns a lesson about forgiveness and Sheriff Bernie and Emmeline take their own inspiration from Hotis's strength.
