Cody Brewer has been a lobster fisherman his whole life. A kind and gentle man, he works hard earning little more than what he needs, to provide for his wife, Martha, and fourteen year old son, Ben. On one of the last days of the fishing season, Cody settles in, hoping for a good catch, but instead comes across a strange and mysterious Sea Moss in one of his lobster traps. The unusual find changes Cody and the lives of the others in the sleepy shanty town, forever.
