Taking place over one night, centers on a chance encounter between four very different people on a Christmas evening. Chance brings together taxi driver Didier and Helly, a young mother trying to get custody of her son. Violent circumstances unite them with Marie, who arrives in Paris from the country full of ambition. All three embark on an adventure towards the sea, where they meet jazz drummer Chris. The four end up having a kind of party, where each finds unexpected encouragement from the others, temporarily escaping their difficulties in a fated encounter that will change their lives forever.
