Carlo works for a loan shark, and spends his days listening to people's lies about why they can't pay him. He, too, has become a liar, as he cannot tell his wife that he is no longer in love with her. She is aware that something is wrong, but a mysterious series of events begin to change her feelings about Carlo too.
