You Only Live Once in a Bond Song, Amy Winehouse
The Grammy winning chanteuse gets to sing the next Bond theme song... if she sobers up.

If you haven’t already heard, Amy Winehouse was recently given the sweetest of ultimatums. She was presented with the opportunity to not only write the new James Bond theme song, but also sing it. The only stipulation you might ask yourself? She has to stay off the drugs until April. If you ask me, this is the chance of a lifetime for an artist, especially Amy. Essentially, the Bond producers have been courting Amy, laying this opportunity at her feet for the measly price of a drug-free existence for what equals out to be about two months. This could either be one heck of a career move, or a gigantic embarrassment. Especially since the word on the street is that the job is hers as long as she’s clean in April, which is the month the producers plan to make their decision. I know she’s a freak but come on, right? Everyone knows James Bond is the baddest movie character out there. The films are so high profile, they are guaranteed to be blockbusters. Not only does our generation’s Bond get to drive that mouth-watering Aston Martin, but we get Daniel Craig too. If Quantum of Solace, the new Bond flick, is anything like Casino Royale, Amy Winehouse won’t even need the life-long royalties to feed her expensive drug habits, she’ll have Bond lovers worldwide offering up their wallets out of admiration. Even Bond himself is on board with Wino’s contributions to the film. The Insider reports Daniel Craig said, “It will have a dark and moody feel so Amy would be absolutely perfect.” If anyone can do dark and moody, it’s Amy. I don’t know many artists that can make something as dark as addiction and rehab into an upbeat and fun tune all of us straight kids want to hear when we get into our cars on Friday night.
