There's a lesson to be learned by the celebrity designers appearing on this "worst of" list: Stick with what you're good at it, whether it be celebutanting, reality TV, being the world's foremost diva, or making magazine covers. Leave the fashion design to designers. Or at least make sure you get the final say before you shill a product with your name on it that, let's face it, just about no one could be proud of.

paris hiltonParis Hilton
Paris Hilton, the world's foremost celebutante -- though no one really remembers how she got famous; we just accept it anyway -- launched an exclusive line for Kitson Boutiques and their online store. Featuring gold lamé screen-printed T-shirts with her image, and ahem, a generally less-than-classy look, it has to be one of the worst celebrity fashion lines on the market.

lauren conradLauren Conrad - Lauren Conrad Collection
Let me firmly state that I am definitely a member of Team LC, and that I love her California-cool style, which is why this line was such a disappointment. Featuring a wide variety of jersey cotton pieces in all different applications (skirts, tops, tunics, leggings, dresses), the fit and quality of this line is absolutely atrocious, and frankly, offensive for the price tags of $70-$300. Lauren Conrad, I know you have it in you. Please make it up to the general public with your new line from Kohl's.

lindsay lohan Lindsay Lohan - 6126
Named for the birthday of her idol, Marilyn Monroe, Lindsay Lohan's line 6126 would probably make the dearly departed Hollywood legend roll over in her grave. Comprised solely of leggings with all sorts of trimmings (zippers, sheen, sparkles, etc.), the venture flew off the shelves despite a complete lack of design and foresight. (Try a shirt!)

mischa bartonMischa Barton
Yes, that's right, someone gave the girl from The O.C. her own headband line. Just headbands, you say? Are you suspicious of a headband line starting at the low price of $50, featuring hair accessories that are bizarre, covered in random flowers and junk, and finished poorly? Yep, someone put up investment capital for that. Sad, but true, folks. Good luck, Mischa Barton, getting back to your acting career.

beyonceBeyoncé Knowles - House of Dereon
Trust me, I love Beyoncé. But the girl should stick to recording and playing singing roles in movies. Started in 2004 by Beyoncé and her mother, the House of Dereon line includes everything from ready-to-wear casual clothing to jeans and anything that can be bedazzled. A word to the wise: What works for the Knowles women may not necessarily work for the general population.
