What's New on Fox? Not Much. Let's Party!

Fox's new fall schedule is looking pretty sparse. Luckily, there's ice cream and candy!

It's been a mostly quiet afternoon because Fox has only two new shows premiering this fall. Also, the sugar high is wearing off and the air-conditioning in this frigid ballroom is freezing my brain.

Fortunately, there will ice cream sundaes soon! Something to do with Fox's Sunday Animation line-up. You think Summer Press Tour is about television, but it's really about clever food-related marketing strategies.

A TV critic at a reputable and large newspaper who shall remain nameless just cracked open a Heineken. He swears he got it from a Fox publicist. I tell you, they will do ANYTHING for good press around here.

Meanwhile, the esteemed Tim Goodman of the San Francisco Chronicle is distracted by my very white teeth. See, even Goodman's not paying attention.

Someone just asked the cast of Terminator: The Sarah Connor Chronicles if they think we are heading toward a Skynet world. Does anyone know what that means? Other than confirmation that everyone here is brain-dead?

Speaking of brain-dead, Fox's lone new comedy of the fall season looks terribly, awfully, drink-10-Heinkens-and-it's-still-not-funny ungood. It's called Do Not Disturb and stars Jerry O'Connell and Reno 911's Niecy Nash as employees at a swanky NYC hotel. The jokes appear to mostly be about being obsessive-compulsive (him) and being black (her). Also, some blonde girl who never eats and is therefore skinny, but grumpy. Hilarious!

Fox's other new series is JJ Abrams' new project, Fringe. No one knows what that's about. No one.

Fox Party tonight is at the Santa Monica Pier. We've been instructed not to wear stilettos, as they might get stuck in the wooden slats. Guess I'm going barefoot!
