The ninth season (and first non-summer season) of Big Brother ends on Sunday (CBS, 8 PM). The producers have long since adjusted to the idea that the series was never going to be the water cooler sensation that it has become in other countries, but it has always had its solid, predictable core of fans. However, ratings were notably lower this year, whether because it wasn't summer or because the formula is beginning to get stale, who can say. The relatively colorless final twosome of Ryan and Adam probably hasn't helped either. Julie Chen will announce the winner (likely Adam), the house will get thoroughly cleansed, and then we'll do it all again this summer.

Ghost Whisperer (CBS, tonight 8 PM): Melinda discovers that the death of a film student may be connected to a haunted movie.

Doctor Who (SciFi, tonight 9 PM): The doctor learns aliens may be behind a hot, new weight-loss scheme. I keep telling you people that health is bad for you.

Moonlight (CBS, tonight 9 PM): Back with some critical episodes, since its fate has not yet been decided (despite all those people supposedly sending their blood to CBS -- yuck). Tonight, Mick and Beth don't have any chance to test out his new humanity before she is kidnapped, presenting Mick with the choice of jeopardizing his mortality to save her.

The Ultimate Coyote Ugly Search (CMT, tonight 9 PM): I'm even less sure with this show than with most what the entire point is supposed to be here, but at any rate, the new champion is named.

Battlestar Galactica (SciFi, tonight 10 PM): Baltar's new belief system creates controversy in the fleet. Um ... quite an ending last week, wasn't it? The good thing about Tory apparently going nuts is that Rekha Sharma gets more airtime now.

Num3ers (CBS, tonight 10 PM): The family of a Marine who is wanted for the murder of a serial killer gets kidnapped by a gang of military thieves. Bill Nye, noted Science Guy, is involved in this somehow.

Real Time with Bill Maher (HBO, tonight 11 PM): Last show until the fall campaign -- that's right, it's still not over! Guests tonight are Garry Shandling, Arianna Huffington, Phil Donahue, and political reporter Matt Taibbi.

Groomer Has It (Animal Planet, Saturday 9 PM): Giving puppies their first grooming. Just make sure that whatever you're wearing is highly washable, folks.

Robin Hood (BBC America, Saturday 9 PM): A second season of medieval fun and games begins with the sheriff getting some assistance in his campaign to overthrow the king; also, Marian and her father are pestered.

Storm Cell (Lifetime, Saturday 9 PM): When parents die in a tornado, their son moves away from twister country while their daughter grows up to be a tornado researcher, as well as Mimi Rogers.

MADtv (Fox, Saturday 11 PM): Dominic Monaghan shows up to help parody the two things he's best known for, Lost and the Lord of the Rings trilogy.

Celebracadabra (VH1, Sunday noon and 9 PM): Seven celebrities -- and by "celebrities" I mean the biggest names here are C. Thomas Howell and Carnie Wilson -- learn the ins and outs of doing magic. You have to watch it at least once, right?

Celebrity Fit Club: Boot Camp (VH1, Sunday, 7:30 PM): An expanded edition for the final episode of this season's hopefully not-quite-as-expanded fit clubbers.

Everybody Hates Chris (CW, Sunday 8 PM): Chris is suspended from school for cigarette possession, but Tonya decides to both keep the news from their parents and blackmail Chris; Rochelle is unhappy that Julius can't seem to break ties to an old girlfriend.

Extreme Makeover: Home Edition (ABC, Sunday 8 PM): A New Mexico minister who has turned around his neighborhood gets a new home.

The Simpsons (Fox, Sunday 8 PM): I knew Bart was a nice kid at heart: he tries to keep his blue ribbon-winning calf from being slaughtered once it grows up.

Wire in the Blood (BBC America, Sunday 8 PM): A killer seems to be dressing his victims up in the clothing of people he had killed long ago.

Aliens In America (CW, Sunday 8:30 PM): Gary and Franny are stunned to find out that their nice new neighbor is a registered sex offender; Raja's attempt to be nice to an unpopular girl just gets him in trouble.

King of the Hill (Fox, Sunday 8:30 PM): Peggy plans her own birthday party: a murder mystery train with a '70s theme. Just remember you love her, Hank.

Carrier (PBS, Sunday 9 PM): An unusually large project for PBS without the name of Ken Burns attached: a five-night, ten-hour documentary covering life on board the aircraft carrier USS Nimitz during a long deployment to the Persian Gulf. The premiere introduces viewers to the various assignments on board the incredibly intricate ship.

Cold Case (CBS, Sunday 9 PM): The granddaughter of a woman thought to have committed suicide in 1962 presents Lily with evidence that the woman was actually murdered. Ronny Cox and Frances Fisher guest star.

Desperate Housewives (ABC, Sunday 9 PM): Lynette tries to overcome temptation; Mike finds out that he has more of a connection with Orson than he realized; Bree and Katherine decide to go into business together.

Family Guy (Fox, Sunday 9 PM): A Very Special Episode? Brian looks up an old girlfriend and learns he has a teenage son, who ends up moving in with the Griffins.

The Game (CW, Sunday 9 PM): Melanie convinces Derwin to go to the victory parade; Jason is not offered a contract for next season.

The Tudors (Showtime, Sunday 9 PM): Things come to a head (sorry) with Thomas More; Anne's failure to produce a son is beginning to cause the same trouble for her as for her predecessor.

Ax Men (History, Sunday 10 PM): The Pihl crew loses a crucial member at a bad time; the Gustafson bosses have extra work with crew members now laid off.

Brothers & Sisters (ABC, Sunday 10 PM): Robert ponders a new political opportunity; Kevin has insight into his relationship with Scotty; Rebecca has her paternity test results.

Keeping Up With the Kardashians (E!, Sunday 10 PM): The sisters have a serious fight; Bruce starts to wonder if he's out of touch with kids these days.

Tracey Ullman's State of the Union (Showtime, Sunday 10 PM): Season finale: Helen Mirren talks about the joy of being naked on screen; Suzanne Somers sells a new kind of exercise equipment.

Viva Hollywood (VH1, Sunday 10 PM): A pageant leads to a quick elimination; Angelica Vale, who plays Ugly Betty in Mexico, introduces an ugliness competition.
