Ms. Abdul appeared on a Seattle news program yesterday evening, ostensibly to promote the upcoming season of American Idol, but serving more effectively as an anti-drug campaign. This comes less than a week after Paula told an Entertainment Weekly reporter that she's "never been drunk."

In the video, Paula rants and raves and slurs and swerves and makes very little sense altogether. There's a real gem in there when the news anchors ask her to comment on Simon Cowell's negative view on Seattle auditioners, and she responds, "Any publicity is good publicity." I'm a person who tends to agree with that statement in general, but I'm sure Paula is eating those words today, as this video makes the Internet rounds.

This isn't the first time Paula's appeared sloshed on live television. In late August, she gave an Emmy night interview three sheets to the wind. Where is this woman's PR team? How is she allowed to do these interviews in this state? Maybe it's time Miss Paula hits up some AA meetings. Hey, Lindsay Lohan can sponsor her.
