1. Mean boss (Kelly Cutrone) is back! To Lauren and Whitney: "You guys are wearing an awful lot of color today." Can someone please give The Wicked Witch of West Hollywood her own show? Better yet, re-cast her as the boss from hell in The CW's upcoming Devil Wears Prada-ripoff reality show, Stylista.

2. Lauren still loooves to lecture her friends. To new frienemy Stephanie Pratt: "You went down a really bad path." Be careful, Stephanie! Remember what happened to Jen Bunney!

3. Audrina's latest attempt to get over Justin-Bobby -- a guy named Colin -- is pretty cute. Of course, we all know she's just trying to make J-B jealous. "Justin's probably going to find out," Lauren tells her. "Do you want him to find out from you or someone else?" And of course, by "someone else," she means Us Weekly.

4. Wow, is Whitney going to have an actual story line this season? More importantly, will she stop pronouncing words that end in "ing" as if they end with "ink"?

5. Oh, She-Pratt, still causing trouble. On Spencer and Heidi: "They just like conflict. It's like drama follows them in their lives." Lauren: "I don't know if it follows, as much as they chase it." Um, hi Pot. Have you met Kettle? Is she kidding me?? Also, how many times has Spencer said he will never speak to his sister again? You simply cannot believe anything that comes out of that boy's mouth.

6. Speaking of sisters: Heidi's sister? Really? Is one Montag not enough for this show? Nay, the world? Next thing you know, Lauren's sister Brianna (excuse me, "BC") is gonna show up.

7. We already know from the tabloids that Lauren and her latest crush, Doug Reinhardt (aka Casey from Laguna Beach's older brother) are dunzo. Which makes his whole story line as Lauren's big new crush completely irrelevant. Sort of like the rest of the show. Not that I won't be watching when The Hills, season 4 premieres Monday, Aug. 18 on MTV.

To tide you (and me) over until then, there's The Hills Season 3 DVD, coming to stores July 29. Not only does it include all of the "bonus" Paris episodes, but it also has a full hour of deleted scenes. Highlights: Whitney shows signs of having an actual life outside the Teen Vogue closet during clips of her graduation and of her talking about a breakup; Audrina learns she's allergic to Lauren's cat, so she has it shaved -- without telling Lauren (surprise!); and do-gooder Trey from Laguna Beach pops up during Lauren's visit to NYC.
