Dr. Ross is back, and he's a dad! George Clooney got back in his scrubs to reprise his role on ER Thursday night. It was a guest appearance leaked online and anticipated by viewers for weeks, and creator John Wells -- who wrote the episode -- didn't make fans wait. Clooney appeared within the first 10 minutes of the show.
But Dr. Ross doesn't return to the ER in Chicago. Instead, we drop in on his life in Seattle, where he's still working as a doctor and has twin girls with his wife, nurse Carol Hathaway (Julianna Margulies in another nostalgic guest appearance). Little known fact: Nurse Hathaway originally killed herself in the pilot of ER, but was brought back to life when early test audiences responded to her.
Clooney left the show in 1999, with Margulies not far behind in 2000.

Film.com's FREE movie of the week is "Love the Hard Way." Oscar-winner Adrien Brody and Charlotte Ayanna star in this drama about a thief who falls for a curious, beautiful young woman. As their intimacy grows, a slick cop (Pam Greer) is closing in.
