Hello, boys and girls, once again it's time we take a peek at everyone's favorite part of going to the movies: coming attractions.

Mr. Brooks
Directed by: Bruce A. Evans
Starring: Kevin Costner, Demi Moore, Dane Cook, William Hurt

Mr. Brooks is one of those fringe movies. It looks like it could be a smart, classy thriller but something in you says, "Nahhh." There's a lot of Costner haters in the world, but I'm not really one of them, and believe me, I'm pulling for this to be good. We're not exactly overflowing with good adult thrillers these days.

From the looks of the trailer, Costner plays a well respected member of society, a husband and a father. But he has another side, a darker side, a secret side. Basically, he gets a kick out of killing people. William Hurt offers him a dose of good old-fashioned murdering fun, but Dane Cook ends up witnessing the whole thing (the murdering fun, that is). Oopsie.

Costner now has to deal with both Cook, who is blackmailing him, and a feisty detective in the form of Demi Moore. There's enough here to make an interesting Hitchcockian thriller, but is this closer to The Talented Mr. Ripley (which would be good) or Perfect Stranger (which would make my eyes bleed)? Let's cross our fingers.

Dude, before I like get to this totally awesome-looking feature about penguins who are just straight-up rippin' the waves, I have a major beef that needs grinding out. Enough penguins ... I mean it. It was cute for a while. But I've had it. Weren't Madagascar, March of the Penguins and Happy Feet enough? What do you want ... my life? My soul? Now, this movie actually looks pretty decent (Penguins surfing. Family film. You know the drill.). The animation looks pretty sweet, and the humor in this thing might have a nice sharp edge. But I plead with you, Hollywood, free me from my mortal coil. We make a pact today. No more penguins and I start showering. Peace, brah.
