Why should people buy and watch Tormented on DVD?

TH: It’s got loads of special features, and you can watch all the gory bits in slow motion…it’s awesome!!

What makes it different to other teen comedy horror films?

TH: It’s got a slightly different take to other teen comedy horrors, especially with regards to it having that British comical edge. I feel that with Tormented, we didn’t want to just scare the hell out of the audience, but entertain them. Whether that is making them jump, laugh, or squirm.

What made you come onboard?

TH: I thought the script was something we’d not seen before in this country. The issues within the script are very apparent in the world we live in plus it’s a film that a lot of youngsters can relate to in many ways. And more than anything it was probably my last chance to be in school uniform again before I get too old to play a 17 year old.

What's the plot?

TH: Basically… a kid kills himself, rises from his grave and seeks revenge on the nasty kids who drove him to kill himself through bullying. And that he does in many imaginative ways!

Who's your character, and are you anything like them?

TH: I play Marcus, the brawn of the in-crowd, probably slightly dumb brawn at that. I’d like to think I’m not quite as slow as Marcus, but there are certain similarities there.

Who should feel the guiltiest for Mullet's death?

TH: Probably Mullet's friend Jason - oh, you’ll see why!!

Bullying is a big problem at school, especially via text. What advice would you give anyone being bullied?

TH: Tough question, I’ve never been bullied myself but if I had to give advice I would say tell someone who can help. Either a teacher at school or parents, maybe even a sibling. But if it’s really a problem they really shouldn’t keep it to themselves. There is always someone who can help.

Are you mates in real-life?

TH: Yeah, I’m really close to a lot of the guys from the cast. We meet up regularly.

Apart from Tormented, what's the best zombie/back-from-the-dead film you've seen, and why?

TH: Has to be Shawn Of The Dead. Why? Never fails to make me laugh, love it!

What's next on the agenda for you? Are you tempted by Tinseltown?

TH: I’ve just come back from there, I love it. I’m going back in a few weeks.

Tormented is out on DVD NOW!
