Eye candy alert! As temperatures heat up, our favorite celebrities are ditching their designer duds for bikinis and board shorts. Who said being a beach bum was a bad thing? Here are 10 of our favorite celebrity surfer dudes and beach bunnies.

fergie

10. Fergie
Fergie has made it no secret that she's been up in the gym just workin' on her fitness, and when she steps out on the beach there's no denying it. Her favorite beach buddy? Hubby, Josh Duhamel, of course. Between spending their honeymoon as well as Valentine's Day soaking up the sun, it seems that the beach is their favorite romantic destination. And when it comes to keeping her body looking so, well, fergalicious, the singer says she spends about 90 minutes working out up to five times a week and has her meals delivered by Diet Designs. Who said it was easy to maintain those lovely lady lumps?

kim kardashian

9. Kim Kardashian
Curvy girls unite! Even after less-than-flattering, unretouched photos of Kim Kardashian hit the web in March, the reality star wasn’t about to trade her bikini in for a one piece. "I’m proud of my body and my curves," she said. "Just because I am on the cover of a magazine doesn’t mean I’m perfect." While she does admit that a cover-up is "a girl’s best friend," Kim says that her best tip for looking good at the beach is confidence -- that and a tan, which she says "can make you look 10 pounds slimmer."

eva longoria parker

8. Eva Longoria Parker
If you look great in a bikini, why only wear one at the beach? That seems to be the philosophy of Eva Longoria Parker, who famously strutted across the stage in a bathing suit at the MTV Video Music Awards in 2005. It's not all fun and games for the Desperate Housewives star, however. "I worry about gravity taking its toll, and that's why I work out regularly -- anything for my butt," she says. "About four times a week I do cardio, weight training, ballet-style bar training, kick-boxing. Then I often go home, eat chocolate ice cream and tell myself it's all right because I've balanced it out with the exercise!"

kelly ripa

7. Kelly Ripa
With three kids, a closet full of size zeroes, and a ripped physique, Kelly Ripa is what we'd call one hot momma! When Live with Regis & Kelly temporarily moved filming to Miami Beach last month, Kelly didn't waste any time in breaking out her bikini and hitting the beach with her family.

zac efron

6. Zac Efron
Now that high school has ended for Zac Efron, he can play on the beach all he wants, and with a fitness regimen of weight lifting, running and surfing, he definitely looks good doing it. "I love to surf every chance I get," he says, adding, "Oh man, I would love to go surfing with Kelly Slater." On his most recent Hawaiian vacation with girlfriend, Vanessa Hudgens, however, it seemed that he would trade surfing for some good PDA any day.

kate hudson

5. Kate Hudson
She's beautiful, blonde, tan, lives in Malibu ... no, not Barbie -- we're talking about Kate Hudson! The ultimate beach girl, Kate loves to stay active. "You don't ever feel better than when you're moving," she says. In fact, the 30-year-old actress was able to use her love for the beach to tone up after giving birth to son, Ryder when she took surfing lessons. Five years later, it seems that she still can't get enough paddle surfing into her day.

hugh jackman

4. Hugh Jackman
Growing up in Australia, Hugh Jackman says he was at the beach everyday, and burned until he blistered. While he still spends much of his time soaking up the sun, one thing has changed. "I wear sunblock all the time," he says. "Nothing but 30-plus SPF. And I never leave the house without my Origins lip balm." Although he currently resides in the U.S., he has a regular tradition for when he returns to the land down under. "I always get off the plane, and I go straight down to Bondi Beach and jump in the ocean."

marisa miller

3. Marisa Miller
For this Sports Illustrated cover girl, bikini season is a year-round affair, but photo shoots aren't the only time Marisa Miller likes to be in a swimsuit. "Surfing has almost become an addiction at this point. The more I do it, the stronger the need becomes," she says. "I feel my absolute best physically, mentally, and spiritually when I'm surfing everyday." As for keeping her perfectly bronze skin safe from the harmful rays, she says: "I'm such a California girl, but being in this business, your skin is really important, and I've got to preserve myself! I only surf in the morning now -- I won't surf in the middle of the day."

cameron diaz

2. Cameron Diaz
A native of Long Beach, CA, Cameron Diaz is a beach bunny by birth. Even though she has broken her nose four times while surfing, she is not deterred from her love of the ocean -- in fact, it's almost become a religion. "Ushering a wave that has traveled across the world into the shore is amazing," Cameron says. "It's definitely a spiritual experience." Righteous, dude.

Matthew McConaughey

1. Matthew McConaughey
If anyone eats, lives, and breathes beach, it is the perpetually shirtless Matthew McConaughey. Whether he is using it as his own personal gym or, quite literally, as his home (he once parked his camper there), it seems there's no place he'd rather be. So much so, in fact, when his son Levi was born last year, he wasted no time in introducing him to the world of surf and sun. "What better way to enjoy summer than at the beach?" he has said. We couldn't agree more.
